Taking The Mystery Out Of Energetic Therapy and Crystal Healing

We can all optimize our body’s natural capacities to heal and stay healthy. Each one of us can be our own practitioner of energy medicine. Because our body, mind and soul is a sublime latticework of energies, we can learn how to become more aware and in tune with ourselves. As I work with clients, I combine practical knowledge and intuitive understanding of the energies in the body. I have been studying and learning energetic therapy for nearly 20 years and have studied with many fine teachers.

I feel the Chinese medicine model of identifying the flows of energy throughout the body has given us the ability as healers to help our clients even without using needles. The Chinese have proven for over twenty-three centuries that needles and herbs can mend what is now one-quarter of the world’s population. But more importantly is the awareness that we humans are energetic, powerful beings. Beinfield and Korngold, in their excellent book, Between Heaven and Earth, A Guide To Chinese Medicine, explain that the heart of Chinese medicine is the concept of Qi (“chee”). They go on to say that:

“Life is defined by Qi even though it is impossible to grasp, measure, quantify, see or isolate. Matter is Qi taking shape. Mountains forming, forests growing, rivers streaming, and creatures proliferating are all manifestations of Qi. In the human being all functions of the body and mind are manifestations of Qi: sensing, cogitating, feeling, digesting, stirring, and propagating. Qi begets movement and heat. It is the fundamental mystery and miracle.”

MY APPROACH TO ENERGETIC HEALING

Since I was young I have been sensitive to the feelings of others. When I was growing up, I felt I was different from other kids my age, but never really knew why exactly. As I grew older and had the benefit of maturity and life’s many awakening experiences—some more painful than others—I came to understand my gifts more clearly. I was in denial for many years – these gifts were not openly supported by my family of origin or our religious beliefs. So I made my way timidly down that path of self-discovery, questioning all the while, wondering if I was just “making stuff up.” When I began my Reiki training in the 90s I realized I could actually feel energy coming through my hands. I could feel the Qi (“chee” or “ki” in Reiki tradition) and it was an exciting confirmation that I was on the right path.

Since that time I have been adding to my “tool box” of energetic healing resources. My teachers along the way have helped me build confidence and knowledge in proper techniques. Learning to set intention, listening to guidance from all my Master Teachers, Angelic Beings and Guides, and just getting myself out of the way to let the energies flow, are key to a successful session.

“We arrive at truth, not by reason only, but also by the heart.” Blaise Pascal I employ many different techniques to assist my clients with self-healing and letting go of those energies that no longer serve them. Together we open pathways for healing. Our bodies are set up to heal themselves—we just need to be aware of how our thoughts and emotions get in the way of that process. When we can understand how we can use our positive thought process to shift into health and wholeness, then we can enjoy life without struggling. We can learn to use the power of our intention to create the kind of life we dream of. I am here to help facilitate the process. I am a teacher and guide as well as an energetic practitioner.
